Ramona Mae (Holloway) Lange 92, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at home. She was born February 2, 1923, in Cedar Rapids, to James and Gertrude (Griffin) Holloway. Ramona graduated from McKinley High School, and attended a business college in Tampa, FL.

She was united in marriage to Leslie Loyal Lange in 1940. Ramona was the mother of eight girls and four boys. Following the death of her husband in 1971, she relocated to Florida, becoming very active in the DAV Auxiliary member. She was awarded Outstanding Auxiliary of the year in 1997. Ramona served as DAVA State Commander in 1999-2000. She was an avid volunteer for the organization. In 2000, Ramona returned to Iowa living in Dubuque, Farmersburg and Edgewood.

Ramona crocheted over 225 afghans annually for the hospitalized veterans.

Survivors include her children, Delores Ann Kadlec-Roussey, of Pt. Charlotte, FL, Rebecca Jean (Arlis) White, of St. Olaf, Donna Ra (John) Billhorn of Prairie du Sac, WI, Steven Paul (Becky) Lange of Edgewood, Robert Eugene (Birdie) of Pekin, IL, Michael James (Sharon) of Hudson, FL, Margaret Elizabeth (Ray) Nelson of Lansing, Leslie Lynn Blankenship of Eustis, FL; thirty-five grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four children, Helen Drahn Loveland, Larry Leslie Lange, Ramona Lange, Deborah Denise Lange; six grandchildren, Denise Diane Lange, Russ Eric Kadlec, Deborah Sue White, Rick Allen Kadlec, Jill (Kadlec) Manning, Larry Lee Lange and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous or DAV Auxiliary Florida Scholarship Program.
